Skinny Sat: why I'm doing yoga

Some may look at me and think that I'm thin, others might think that I don't eat but the truth is:

I LOVE food. It's not even funny. For someone that watches their meals as much as I do, I can't stop thinking about it. I love a good pizza. I love a good, medium-rare burger. I LOVE FRIES. I love everything and anything that has to do with chocolate.

I could list all these foods that pretty much make anything taste better than being skinny, but I know that constantly eating these fatty and sugary foods is not the answer. Especially not long-term. So, I need a way to sometimes indulge myselft and feel good about myself.

Insert yoga -

Prior to this week, I rarely exercised (does running 1-2 times a month count?).

It's not that I'm lazy, but after years of running on the same treadmill at the gym I just can't stand to see the same 4 walls.

You know what I mean. It's just so boring now.

On top of that, I realized that my body has plateaued. I'm sure it's not the worst thing that can happen to me (I can't gain or lose weight) but I know that I CAN be better. I know myself.

Instead of "being skinny" this summer, my goal is get a tighter butt and stomach.

I know it's the goal for many women but, personally, I think this will give me the kick in the ass that I need and because yoga is overall just amazing for you!

This week I have attended two hot yoga classes at Core Power Yoga. I really loved it! Plus you burn like 600-1000 calories per session. ISN'T IT THE BEST?

I will be posting my experiences, tips, and progress as the weeks go by! Can't wait! xx
