#ALSIceBucketChallenge: Accepted

Even my grandma knows what the ASL Ice Bucket Challenge is.

ALS is often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease. It's a "progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord" (alsa.org). People with ALS slowly lose control of their movement and become fully paralyzed. The life expectancy of someone diagnosed with ALS is 2-5 years, respectively.

The #IceBucketChallenge helps bring awareness and donations for ASL research! Essentially, while pouring cold water on your head/body you momentarily feel what people with ALS have to live with - a moment of complete loss and shock.

My boyfriend's brother nominated me last night so I had to do it today! It was fun to do this challenge, but at the end of the day no one should have to endure being diagnosed with ALS. It can strike anyone.

Here's the video :) I promise there was ice but it melted while we were prepping for the video LOL!
