#GoBare with bareMinerals!

If you’ve been a reader of my blog I’m sure you know that I am a big advocate for bareMinerals. When I first opened my blog, it was only a distant dream to work with the company, but today I am SO excited to share with you my collaboration with bareMinerals! It’s a dream come true.

I made the switch to bareMinerals after years of struggling to find a solution for my acne. Last winter, it literally got so bad that I wouldn’t leave the house. So, my dermatologists told me to throw away all of my old makeup and to try out bareMinerals. It was a little tough at first because the sheer coverage of the makeup wasn’t enough for my damaged skin. However, I am relieved that I made the switch to #GoBare. After a week, my skin had already begun to show improvement. Right then and there, I fell in love with bareMinerals. Today, I only need a few powder applications, and I am ready to face the world.

The foundation and bronzer are a loose powder and have that “no-makeup feel”. One of my biggest pet peeves is looking like I have pounds of make up on, so it’s really crucial for me to have a flawless looking face that just screams, “I woke up like dis.” **Also, the makeup applied in this shoot is much more dramatic than my day-to-day makeup.

Foundation: For this photo shoot, my makeup artist Dakita (she's my favorite!), first applied the Bare Skin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation with SPF 20 using the Perfecting Face brush for a stronger coverage, followed by Matte Foundation with the Precision Face brush. To brighten up my eyes, she applied the Well-Rested eye brighter. It makes such a difference!

Contouring: For the bronzer (my favorite part), she dabbled the Faux Tan on my cheeks using the same Precision Face brush and then followed with my forehead and chin. Cheeks are contoured with The French Kiss Ready blush.

Eyes: The colors used on my eyes are the “Wicked” and “Daring” eye shadows from The Alter Ego Ready Eyeshadow 2.0. palette. What I love about this purple “Daring”color is that you can easily transform it from a day look to a night look with just a few more applications. She finished off my eyes with Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara and Lasting Line Eyeliner!

Here is a little peek inside my sanctuary (my room), where all the magic happens ;)

So, dear reader, I dare you to #GoBare and see the difference.
